Website Marketing
When someone first visits your Website, they’ll ask one question of everything your Website does, “What’s in it for me?” To be successful, your Website has to show your visitors what they’ll get from your site rather than from a competitor’s site.
Before developing your Website, you need to write down your Online objectives and goals. You can have one specific objective or a combination of objectives, but you have to know the main goals of your Website before you launch your Online business.
Does your Website home page pass the First Impression Test?
When a first-time visitor clicks on your Website, you have less than 10 seconds to grab their attention – or they’ll be gone forever! If your Home Page (or any page for that matter) can’t make the maximum impact on a visitor, in the shortest possible time, your entire Internet Marketing strategy will be in trouble from the start!
1. What is your Website about? (What are you offering?)
2. Who is your Website for? (Who is your target audience?)
3. What’s in it for the visitor? (“What’s in it for me?”)
To pass this “First Impression Test,” your Website must prove to a potential customer you are NOT selling a product or a service, but that you are selling an ultimate BENEFIT – the solution to their immediate problem!
For your website to be successful, it must also be “well-niched!”
1. your Website must be perceived as special!
2. your Website must stand out in the marketplace!
3. your Website must be distinguished from everyone else!
