Article marketing is not dead, nor do I think it is dying.

While there is no denying that video is certainly hot and shows no signs of slowing down, article marketing is still an awesome way to build your list and in turn, your business.

While some people are running around screaming that the “Article Marketing Sky is falling”, I’m not one of them.

Yes, video is hot, but believe it or not, not everyone prefers to learn by watching a video. There are some people who still prefer to read, and learn better by reading.

I happen to be one of them. And I know for a fact that there are many more people who are like me.

Now, I think that those who are sincerely worried about losing article marketing as a way of generating leads and eventually making sales need to step back, take a deep breath and relax.

For one thing, if enough marketers believe that article marketing won’t work any more, they will look to other marketing methods to accomplish their goals.

That will leave the rest of us with less competition.

For another thing, as you stated, there are many different ways to use article marketing. One way that you touched on is to re-purpose content.

For instance, I have taken a series of articles, put them together and created hard copy books to distribute through direct mail, Ebay, Craigslist, etc.

I have also taken that same content and created CDs to sell either with the books or separately. The CDs can also be used as free gifts to get people to subscribe to my email lists.

I love using article marketing to build my email lists.

The articles bring in subscribers like crazy, allowing me to do what I do best – email marketing.

If people want to give up on article marketing, that is up to them. Personally, I’m going to continue using it and profiting from it.
