As all the highly experienced social media people would also suggest, using social media effectively is about giving value to your followers. It’s not about selling. But, you can give them value by posting interesting articles and tidbits on your website/blog, and tweet the link. Once they are on your site, they will judge if they would like your services, and go further. (is there a call to action on your site?)
People work with people they like, so be interesting in twitter and your “traffic” will increase.
